Important Info

Hello Dance Parents,
Its that time of year again and the recital is approaching quickly. Here is everything you need to know to be ready and prepared for Rehearsal and Recital. This year’s Recital is called “iPod Shuffle”.

Rehearsal*:
Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 5:15p (arrive at 5p)
Recital*:
Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 1p (dancers need to check in by 12:30p)

Important Info:
1. Costumes and any accessories will be handed out 1 week prior to rehearsal and will then be the responsibility of the parents and students. Please hang the costume in a climate controlled place and please be very careful with it.

2. Please label all of your child’s things, including shoes. This is especially important for children in more than one routine or in combination classes that require costume changes.

3. We will have backstage helpers to assist with costume changes and line up. Parents are asked to remain seated to avoid backstage crowding and confusion. This way parents will also be able to fully enjoy their child’s performance.

4. Hair and make-up instructions will be handed out with costumes.

5. Rehearsal is a full dress rehearsal, make-up and hair should be done upon arrival. Individual and group photos by Christopher Stockman will be taken that night. No obligation to purchase.

6. Rehearsal will begin promptly at 5:15p so please be sure to arrive by 5:00p. We will be beginning with the group finale dance. The rehearsal order and recital order will differ because the rehearsal order will be by age. Once the class photo is taken and the class is done on stage you are free to leave. Older students who will be waiting till the end can bring a snack and drink which they can have in the lobby. No food or beverages (other than water) are allowed in the auditorium.

7. Recital is general admission seating. The show begins at 1pm and the doors will open at 12:15p. Ticket go on sale May 2nd, 2011. Advance ticket prices are $10 Adults, $7 Children & Seniors, Door Prices are $12 Adults, $10 Children & Seniors. There will be a raffle to win reserved seating starting May 2, 2011. The winner will be selected at the beginning of rehearsal.

8. Feel free to bring your own cameras and camcorders during the rehearsal but not at the recital. Please do not use flash photography during the show as the lights are distracting to the dancers. The show will be videotaped by Ideations and order forms are available at the front desk.

9. Recital cds with the edited and ordered songs are available now for only $7 each.

10. Program slots are available for purchase. You can either promote your business or send well wishes to your favorite dancer. Call front desk for more info.

*Both the recital and the rehearsal will be taking place at Leominster High School 122 Granite St. Leominster, MA 01453

Costumes going out.....

Costumes are now being sent home with the students for the Rehearsal and Recital that is NEXT WEEK! Please be very careful with them!!
If your child's costume includes a tutu please remove that from the bag 2 days prior to rehearsal for maximum puffiness. :-)
